(BRAIN TRUST HUB) Some youths reportedly ganged up to beat PHCN (IBEDC) officials while performing their duty in Ilesa township.
The case started getting escalated since yesterday (Sunday) when tires were burnt showing the anger of the Ijesa people due to the ‘harsh’ action of PHCN (IBDC) to shut down power across all the six local governments of Ijesa land.
Brain Trust Hub just got informed of the spread of such riot to colleges in Ilesa town; College of Health and College of Education.
As at the point of finally releasing this update the protesters are said to be vacating college of Education, Ilesa
An occupant of Bolorunduru area of Ilesa where the beating occured told Brain Trust Hub through a phone conversation that the case was as a result of IBDC bringing a sum of #31,000 bill to an old woman who happens to be the only one living in the apartment and despite regular payment before now, light has not been regularly supplied as it should be in justification of the payment.
Outcome of the Riot
Staff of Osun State College of Education and the students who are on their teaching practise exercise while their lecturers have been busy examining them are greatly affected by this on-going attack in the town and nearby town of Ilesa to perform their exercise.
The market women are worried for the safety of their businesses and Banks are already shutting down one after the other as Ilesa township has a high record of bank robbery in Osun State in recent years.
People are implored to put on solidarity leaf on their vehicles and motorcycle for safety all the roads of Ilesa.
As at the point of gathering this news, all effort to reach PHCN spokesperson was to no avail.
