The government of Osun State shutdown three state owned institution for the sake of safety as it was reported that some set of hoodlums found their way into the institutions to destabilized their peace.
Governor Oyetola declared the schools opened on Monday after the assurance of peace in the town. Mr. Oyetola made it known that the schools are opening simply because of the assurance of stability he had from stakeholders involved.
He went further to remind the people of Ijesa-land to be at peace.
The three affected schools include; Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, the Osun State College of Health Technology, Ilesa and the Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke.
With the opening of the schools, lectures are now expected to start immediately as most students; ‘Staylites’ and ‘Jambites’ are fully on ground to start receiving lectures before the interruption.
As at the time of gathering this news, some areas of Ijesa-land are already enjoying electricity supply. According to our contact in Ijesa-land, the light is yet to be restored only in Ilesa East and West local government. The major crises occurred in Ilesa township where we have Ilesa East and West located mainly.
