2019 Election: Osun and Oyo receive European Union observers

Not less than 40 European Union, EU, Observers have arrived in Nigeria in less than 19 days to the commencement of the general elections.

The arrived observers have been assigned to their post of duties with some pre-election measures that must be taken.

Observers-in-charge of Osun and Oyo States is headed by Mr. David Dahmen, with Mr. Sony Odiomgenyi as his assistant. His visit to the Residential Electoral Commissioner, REC, Oyo State on Tuesday was a peaceful and a friendly one.

Dahmen said the pre-election duties include interaction with some stakeholders, including Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in view of a free, fair and credible election.

In an interactive session with the journalists, Oyo State Residential Electoral commissioner, Mr Mutiu Agboke said INEC has updated the team on preparations and readiness to conduct free, fair and credible polls.
