Call for Stakeholders’ meeting to fight against buying of PVC- Saraki enjoins INEC

Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki, in a statement through his Special Adviser (Media and Publicity), Yusuph Olaniyonu, has advised the chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Professor Mahmood Yakubu to organize a stakeholders’ meeting for proper care towards the prevailing issue of voters inducements and buying of Permanent Voters Card, PVC, by desperate politicians.

In his statement, he explains manipulation of election as what can be recorded before, during and even after election. He therefore charged INEC to be vigilant and carry stakeholders along to discuss issues and proffer solutions as the election is fast approaching.

Part of the statement read thus;

“All stakeholders must come up fast with a solution to render useless the antics of those who intend to procure voter’s card. We all need to put our heads together and I am sure that such stakeholders’ meeting will not only nip in the bud the looming danger, it will also become problem solvers”.
